Experience

Product and Growth Intern @ FrontRow
March 2021 - May 2021
Early stage startup (founded: May 2020) focusing to bring the habit of hobby learning in tier-3 and tier-4 India
  • Made 200+ user research calls to find out growth avenues and product shortcomings.
  • Documented insights and discussed them on community & product levels - several insights became starting points for product features
  • Designed ~15 Instagram, Facebook and Google Ads for acquiring users for community. Process documentation here.
  • Created ~25 content posts for the music community section of the FrontRow App.
  • Posts became an instant hook with Day 1 retention of users who interacted (~1600 users) jumped to ~40% vs~14% of an average community visitor (MAU ~20,000).
  • Executed several growth experiments to grow the number of community visits on the app. Experiments included: targeted notifications, SMS, emails and Whatsapp marketing. Reached ~400 unique visits/day from these experiments.
Growth Hacker Intern @ Cryptoverse Wars
September 2020 - November 2020
Early stage ed-tech startup trying to explain blockchain programming concepts through interactive courses
  • Responsible for the ideation and execution of several growth experiments.
  • Examples of experiments: blogposts, SEO Improvements and targeting keyword searches. Recieved negligible success on a ~1500 MAU base (~Sep 2020).
  • Used Amplitude to analyze user behavior and gain actionable insights from it.
  • Used Ahrefs for market analysis, keyword research, and backlink analysis to draft an actionable SEO strategy.
  • Repurposed educational content into blogposts to test them as a possible traction channel.
  • Achieved limited success due to a slow execution pace and a very niche market.
Chief Designer @ Renesa
August 2019 - Now
Renesa is the Official Media & Publication House of NIT, Surat.
  • Leading the visual redesign of the magazine by ideating, creating mockups and executing final ideas to create a magazine for 4000+ students. Latest Magazine Link
  • Undertook 2 magazine projects. Lead the process of division of work among 18 designers.
  • Ideated and created templates to bring consistency throughout our Social media presence. Created ~30 posts (Image and Video) to be published on Renesa's Social Media pages.
  • Drafted evaluation test (taken by ~40 designers) and interviewed ~20 designers to onboard ~16 designers. Grew the team from 4 -> 13 -> 19 in ~18 months.
  • Held Figma workshops for new designers. Collated and shared resources about other tools (Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator).
  • Currently, as a Chief Designer, I am leading a team of 18 designers to look after the end to end design of quarterly magazines, blog illustrations, and social media posts.
